The Butadiene Unit has been constructed and commissioned to extract 1 3 Butadiene from C 4 feed at Jam Petrochemical. In this unit, the input feed in the form of C 4 oil cut enters the extraction distillation stage and then enters the purification stage and is transferred to the butadiene storage tank with a purity of 99.76%. In this unit, the input feed contains heavy compounds that cause sediment in the unit's equipment. In addition, the purge gas sent to the flare in this unit contains acetylene compounds that must be recovered for economic and environmental reasons. In this project, a separation tower is used on the input feed line to remove C 5 heavy compounds, and after removing these hydrocarbons, the feed free of heavy compounds is sent to the butadiene unit. Also, in order to recover the acetylene compounds of the flare gas of this unit, a cooling system has been installed on the flare line. Engineering services and design of a new system for removing heavy C 5 compounds and condensing acetylene flares are the responsibility of Aali Nam Company.
